Marco Tagliamento

Marco Tagliamento, MD, PhD, is Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology at the University of Genoa and Medical Oncologist at IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino in Genoa (Italy). He previously trained as a clinician scientist in thoracic oncology at Gustave Roussy Institute (Villejuif, France). He currently serves as Leader of the IASLC Social Media Education Workgroup (2025–2027) and as a member of the IASLC Education Committee. He is also actively involved in other major international oncology working groups, including the EORTC Lung Cancer Group, ESMO, and AIOM (Italian Association of Medical Oncology). In 2022, he was awarded the International Lung Cancer Foundation Heine H. Hansen Fellowship Grant, and in 2025 he received an AIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research) Grant. He serves as principal investigator or sub-investigator in multiple phase II and III clinical trials.
