Mariana Brandão

Mariana Brandão obtained her Master’s Degree in Medicine and underwent a residency program on Medical Oncology in Porto. She then moved to Institut Jules Bordet, in Brussels, for a research fellowship and completed her PhD at the University of Porto.
She is now working at the Clinic of Thoracic Oncology and at the Phase I Clinical Trials Unit of IJB and she is a Faculty member of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is developing a research project on the role of neutrophils in the development of NSCLC at Prof. Meylan’s lab.
In addition, she actively participates as Principal Investigator or sub-PI in multiple phase 1 to phase 3 clinical trials at Institut Jules Bordet.
She is also the Treasurer of the EORTC Lung Cancer Group and member of multiple ESMO Committees.
